Archaeology visit

We were extremely lucky to welcome our special visitor from The University of York into school this week, considering she had just landed that morning from a trip to Lebanon! Dr Steph Piper paid a visit to each of our federated schools, to talk to our KS2 children about archaeology and all of the places in the world that she has worked, whilst doing the job she loves.

Here's what Lily H had to say:

'On Monday 18th of September, Dr Steph Piper, an archaeologist, came into Class 3 to talk to us about the Stone Age and her job.

She brought in some of her tools that she uses to dig up artefacts. She brought in brushes and lots of items used to remove dirt in the ground. We are hoping to invite her back later in the term'.
