Ukulele tuition
Our Class 3 children are enjoying a term's ukulele lessons in school, delivered by NYCC Music Service teacher, Helen Moulds. There is evidence that learning to play an instrument and read music benefits children in other areas of school life. Ashton said, ‘We do lessons on a Thursday with Mrs Moulds. I enjoy it – it’s my favourite lesson. We did some songs using F chord and C chord’. And Hadley says, ‘With Mrs Moulds on a Thursday, she goes on a website called ‘Ukulele Rocks’ and she teaches us fun songs. So far, we have learnt the C chord and F chord’.
