As a school we have marked Remembrance Day today, Friday 11th November during assembly.
Buddy, India and Jessica, in their roles of School Ambassadors, along with our two new Junior Road Safety Officers, Romeo and Lily, paid a visit with Mr Bealey and Mrs Obridge to the local Burton Salmon War Memorial (Burton Salmon War Memorial, Burton Salmon - 1430153 | Historic England) to lay the wreaths that Classes 2 and 3 had made. The children read the inscription on the memorial and some of the names of the local men who died.
At 11am we paused to observe a minutes' silence and paid our respects to all of the people who took part in both World Wars.
