We have been looking at living things in their habitats; in particular the Savannah.

Today we have made silhouette collage representations of the Savannah and the animals we would expect to see in that habitat. The animal silhouettes look very striking against the red, yellow and orange backgrounds, don't you think? The children used torn coloured paper for their backgrounds and cut animal shapes from black paper to produce silhouettes. They cut two of each animal placing one upside down and underneath the other to fabricate an effect of a reflection on water.

Taking care over the composition of form and colour has been the theme of this week with Class 2 as they have considered how arranging individual elements within their artwork, determines the impact of their final outcomes.

Thank you to Mrs Seath for all of your creativity and help this week across school - we hope to see you again soon!
