Twig - the dog with the biggest smile winner!

Mrs Nicola Hall (our Federation PE Coordinator, Forest Schools, School Dog and School Garden Lead) entered her wonderful school therapy dog Twig, into the Paws for Pals Selby Virtual Dog Show at the beginning of September.

Twig, who is nearly 3 years old, was entered in the 'Therapy Dog Class' and the category for 'The Dog with the Biggest Smile'. It's no surprise judging by these photos, that she deservedly triumphed in the biggest smile class! Well done Twig!

Mrs Hall and her daughter, Piper, took Twig to collect her prize on Sunday 20th September and here she is proudly wearing her red winners' rosette.

All the photos and canine category winners are available to view on the Paws for Pals Selby Facebook page.

UPDATE: We have more news…. BBC Radio York had seen the article in Selby Times about Twig and invited Mrs Hall and Mrs Lindley to give an interview, live on the breakfast show yesterday about her role as a school therapy dog. If you follow this link, about 2 hours 50 minutes in, you will be able to hear the full interview: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p08s609
