One Day Creative – Online Safety Workshops

On Monday 3rd February, Richard from One Day Creative, came into school to deliver online safety advice, including a ‘Cyber Heroes’ workshop to our KS1 children and a ‘Be KIND Online’ workshop to our KS2 children.

The Reception and KS1 children had great fun learning how to be Cyber Super Heroes - brave, strong children keeping themselves safe while using the internet by remembering the superhero code of Stop, Block and Tell!

KS2 children were learning from Richard about the acronym K I N D:

  • Being Kind to others
  • Inappropriate content online – be aware at all times
  • Not oversharing information
  • Don’t stay hidden – make sure you tell people about anything that doesn’t seem right

Pupil comment:

Online Safety

'Online safety day was so much fun! First we did a hop, jump or stop game to get our brains functioning before we started. After this we listened to the statements Richard (our visitor) read out and decided whether we strongly agreed with the statement, agreed but not strongly, thought it would depend, disagreed but not strongly or disagreed strongly and then stood in the section of the classroom depending on which answer we chose.

Remember ‘STAY SAFE ONLINE’
