Jackson Pollock art

This week, as part of their art learning, the reception children whipped off their socks and shoes to attempt their very own version of a Jackson Pollock painting.

Jackson Pollock was an American painter and famous as an abstract expressionist. He was renowned for his drip style technique of painting.

Along with great music booming out, our children endeavoured ‘to convey the emotion of movement’ by flicking and dripping paint across their canvas.

They had great fun and ended up very colourful themselves (and Mrs Newton) with paint splatter!
