Our latest round of after-school curriculum clubs started last week, amongst which, was Mrs Titterington’s launch of Tri-Golf Club.
The children started off by practising how to connect the golf club to the ball, by using a tee and aiming for the Velcro map of a golf course. The aim is to learn basic golf techniques including chipping, driving, and putting.
Tri-golf is a fun, inclusive and accessible sport for children of all ages and abilities. It can be played both indoors and outdoors and can be adaptable to different skill levels. The game is also a fantastic way for children to develop their social and teamwork skills, as they learn to play and compete in a friendly and supportive environment.
The main goal of tri-golf is to teach children the basic skills and techniques of the game, such as grip, stance, and swing. It also helps to develop children’s hand-eye coordination, balance, and concentration. The modified equipment and course layout are designed to be more accessible for children, and the emphasis is on having fun and learning the game in a safe and supportive environment.
Ivor really enjoyed his first session and said: ‘We got introduced to the different clubs. Next, we learnt how to hold the clubs. Then we aimed and made it airborne.’
