Class 2 – Artist visit
In Class 2, we were honoured to welcome our focused artist for the summer term, Lincoln Lightfoot. "Lincoln Lightfoot is a well-established artist that has built up an excellent reputation across North Yorkshire. Lightfoot’s artwork explores surreal concepts based in well-known locations reminiscent of 1950’s-60s B-Movie Poster Art."
At first, our children were able to explore his famous artwork from T-Rexes eating the Angel of the North to King Kong swinging from York Minster; the children were amazed by his wonderfully creative pieces and Lincoln's journey to becoming an artist. Once they were inspired, they had the opportunity to channel Lincoln's artistic style to create their own petrifying artwork which we are excited to display in school.
