Wear A Hat Day

Non-Uniform Day – Friday 18th February – Wear A Hat Day

As is tradition at the end of each half-term, this Friday we came to school in non-uniform, BUT with the addition of hats! In aid of Brain Tumour Research, we donned our hats in exchange for a charity donation (minimum of £1.00 on ParentPay). We decided to fundraise a little earlier than the national ‘Wear a Hat Day’ which falls on the 25th of March, as we have plans for Comic Relief Day on the 18th of March. Some of us got creative and designed our own hats hat and some of us wore traditional dress.

How does Wear A Hat Day help? All fundraising and donations support researchers to undertake world-leading quality research which could: help to combat paediatric brain tumours; pave the way for personalised treatments for glioblastoma patients; prevent the need for surgery when identifying different types of tumours and by making surgery safer. By taking part in Wear A Hat Day, we hope to help raise awareness of this disease and help fund pioneering research.

We have raised an amazing grand total of £107.50! Well done!
