Growing beans

In Class 1, we have been enjoying our hands-on 'growing' topic.

We have been discussing what a plant needs to grow, writing about the story 'Jasper's Beanstalk' by Nick Butterworth and Mick Inkpen and have planted beans in our classroom with Miss Ducat.

In our science experiment with the beans, we have predicted what might happen if we plant a bean in the dark, or forget to water it. We have predicted that, without the essential ingredients of soil, sunshine, water, the right temperature and time, our beans will not grow.
