PE and School Sports has a high priority within the school. All children take part in PE lessons. Key Stage 1 and 2 children have at least two hours a week of Physical Education on their weekly timetable. The Long Term Plan is a skills based curriculum where children learn and the develop a range of skills for them to participate in a variety of sports.

Throughout PE lessons sporting values are addressed and children learn about the importance of  determination, resilience, self respect, teamwork, honesty and passion. We believe that having these make for a good sports person and we aim for this for every one of our children.

We are a member of the Carlton Holy Family Sports Partnership and enter a range of competitions against local schools. All children are given the opportunity to take part in these competitions and gain new experiences through sport.  These competitions include indoor athletics, cross country, netball, multi-sports, hockey and tri-golf to name a few.

We run extra curricular sports clubs after school across the full year. All children across the school have access to these as we encourage children to be as active as possible.
